What to Expect

Visiting a church for the first time can feel a little intimidating. You may be wondering what to wear, what the service will be like, or whether you’ll fit in. We want your first visit to Word of Life Chapel to be comfortable and welcoming.

Here are a few things you can expect when you join us on Sunday.

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT?

Our Sunday services are centered on worship, prayer, and the teaching of God’s Word. Each service lasts about an hour and includes congregational singing, prayer, Scripture, and a message from the Bible.

We meet every Sunday at 9:00 AM and 10:30 AM.

HOW SHOULD I DRESS?

Come as you are! There is no dress code at Word of Life Chapel. You’ll see everything from jeans and T-shirts to dresses and button-down shirts. Wear whatever makes you comfortable—we’re simply glad you’re here.

WHAT ARE THE MESSAGES LIKE?

We believe the Bible is God’s Word and should be at the center of everything we teach. Our messages are primarily expository, meaning we seek to understand and communicate the intended meaning of the biblical author while faithfully applying God’s Word to our lives today.

Our goal is to teach the Bible in a way that is clear, engaging, and practical, with the focus on God’s Word rather than the preacher.

WHAT ABOUT THE MUSIC?

Music is one of the ways we worship God together. Our services include a blend of historic hymns and contemporary worship songs, all centered on biblical truth and the person and work of Jesus Christ.

WILL I BE ASKED TO GIVE MONEY?

No. As our guest, please do not feel any obligation to give. Giving is an act of worship for those who consider Word of Life Chapel their church home. We simply want you to come, worship with us, and feel welcome.
